Malibu Tops Camry, Accord For Economy
The all-new 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, on sale now at Hendrick Durham Auto Mall in a variety of colors and packages, has surpassed the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord for fuel economy.
According to an article in Car and Driver, the Malibu claims a fuel-economy rating of 22 miles-per-gallon in city driving and 32 mpg on the highway. The Accord and Camry, meanwhile, can claim numbers of only 21 mpg in the city and 31 on the highway.
It would appear that consumers are becoming increasingly aware of those numbers. Chevy dealers, including Rick Hendrick Chevrolet of Durham, have a hard time keeping the 08 Malibus in stock, and GM seemingly can't build them fast enough.
