Another Positive Day For Hendrick
Sunday was a good day to be associated with Rick Hendrick.
NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt, Jr., was able to get his first points victory as a member of Hendrick's team. A short time later, representatives of Hendrick Durham Auto Mall received applause for their partnership with North Durham Little League.

Sales consultant Paul Ensslin and sales manager Jamar Brinkley presented North Durham Little League with a check for $500 during the league's spring-season closing ceremonies. The dealership had partnerted with the league as part of the national Chevy Youth Baseball Program.
Hundreds of Little-Leaguers and their families braved 90-degree temperature to enjoy a day full of festivities and free hot dogs for the fathers in the crowd. The highlight of the day may have been the Diamondbacks' come-from-behind victory over the Dodgers in the championship game of the AA Minor League, for players ages 8 and 9.
The Diamondbacks closed the season with 15 straight victories.
Garnering almost as much excitement as that comeback victory was the check presentation. The ceremony epitomized Rick Hendrick's and the dealership's commitment to supporting and promoting positive aspects and projects of the communities within which they work.
It marked the second straight Sunday the dealership had participated in a community event. General Manager Doug Harbison and other employees served lunch during the final day of the Habitat for Humanity Home Blitz.
Meanwhile, Earnhardt, Jr., celebrated a victory that seemed a very long time in coming. He had not won in almost 80 races prior to Sunday, not since 2006.
As NASCAR's most popular driver and the newest member of the Hendrick Motorsports team, Junior was ready to live up to expectations. Coasting to the finish line under caution, riding on nothing more than fumes, he gave the masses a day to remember.
